BNP Candidate Dipen Dewan Pledges Development in Chittagong Hill Tracts

Rangamati: Advocate Dipen Dewan, the BNP candidate nominated for the Rangamati-299 constituency with the 'Paddy Sheaf' symbol, emphasized that BNP engages in politics for the welfare of the people. 'If elected in the next national parliamentary election, I will transform the hilly areas into a district of harmony. If BNP comes to power, development works will be carried out in every region of the Chittagong Hill Tracts,' he stated.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dewan made these remarks during a view-exchange meeting organized by Subhalong and Barkal union BNP units at Kurakti Bazar ground. The event was chaired by Barkal union BNP general secretary Abdul Jalil and attended by several BNP leaders, including BNP Tribal Affairs joint secretary Colonel (retd) Manish Dewan, District BNP general secretary Advocate Mamunur Rashid Mamun, and vice presidents Saiful Islam Chowdhury Bhutto and Saiful Islam Panir.

Other notable attendees included organizing secretary Saiful Islam Shakil, joint secretary Mojibul Hall, tribal affairs secretary Ronel Dewan, volunteer affairs secretary Md. Bachchu Mia, district chhatra dal president Faruk Ahmed Sabbir, and former convener of Rangamati Government College Chhatra Dal Al Amin. Following the meeting, Dewan conducted campaign activities in various areas of the upazila.
