Dhaka: BNP candidate Abul Kalam has emerged victorious from the Narayanganj constituency in the 13th National Parliament Election. He secured a total of 1,14,779 votes, defeating his nearest rival, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish candidate ABM Sirajul Mamun, who garnered 1,01,196 votes.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the referendum saw 1,93,413 people casting ‘Yes’ votes, while 64,393 others registered ‘No’ votes. The election results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon, located in the capital.
