Jashore: BNP Standing Committee Member Selima Rahman today emphasized the party’s commitment to establishing a woman and child-friendly society while ensuring the rights of both men and women. She articulated the party’s vision and goals during a discussion titled “Establishing Woman and Child Rights in Society is BNP’s Priority.”
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event, organized by the BNP Woman and Child Rights Forum, took place at Hotel Orion International in the district. Selima Rahman highlighted that the establishment of women’s and children’s rights is a priority-based electoral commitment of the BNP.
The discussion was attended by BNP Vice-Chairman Prof. Nargis Begum, who served as the chief guest. Prof. Begum paid tribute to Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and acknowledged the contributions of Begum Khaleda Zia towards the development of women and children. She urged BNP activists and affiliated organizations to promote the plans developed by BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman for the advancement of women and children.
Other notable attendees included Member Secretary of the Woman and Child Rights Forum Advocate Nipun Roy Chowdhury, Organising Secretary of BNP’s Khulna Division Anindya Islam Amit, President of Jashore District BNP Syed Saberul Haque Sabu, General Secretary Delowar Hossain Khokon, Organizing Secretary Robiul Islam, and General Secretary of Jashore District Mohila Dal Ferdousi Rahman.
