BMU Eid Jamaat Scheduled for Early Morning at Central Jame Mosque

Dhaka: The Eid Jamaat of Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) is set to be held at 7am at the university's Central Jame Mosque in celebration of the holy occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. The announcement was made in a press release today, signed by the mosque's Pesh Imam and Khatib, Hafez Maulana Mufti Abdul Ahad, who urged devotees to arrive on time for the congregation.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a separate release signed by BMU Registrar Professor Dr. Mustafa Kamal stated that the university's outpatient department will remain open from 8am to 1pm on May 27 and May 30 to accommodate patients. The BMU administration has directed Director (Hospital) Brigadier General Irteka Rahman to ensure the smooth operation of outpatient services on those days.

The release further mentioned that the university will be closed from May 25 to May 31 for Eid-ul-Azha, though indoor and emergency services will remain operational throughout the holiday period. BMU plans to resume its full operations on Monday, June 1, with an Eid reunion programme scheduled on campus from 8:30am to 10am on the same day.
