Biman Reschedules Flights Due to India-Pakistan Conflict

Dhaka: Biman Bangladesh Airlines has announced a rescheduling of its flights to Toronto, London, and Rome, rerouting operations to avoid Pakistani airspace amidst the current conflict between Pakistan and India.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the national flag carrier has stated that these revised schedules will be in effect from May 9 to May 31, 2025. The adjustments are a response to the temporary closure of Pakistani airspace for overflying aircraft, as confirmed by a Biman official.

The updated flight schedules are as follows: For the Dhaka-Toronto route (BG305/306), departure from Dhaka is now at 3 am, advanced by 45 minutes, while the departure from Toronto will remain unchanged. For the Dhaka-London route (BG201/202), departure from Dhaka is now at 7:00 am, advanced by 40 minutes, with the departure from London also remaining unchanged. On Thursdays, the Dhaka-London route now departs at 8:10 am, also advanced by 40 minutes. For the Dhaka-Rome route (BG355/356), the departure from Dhaka is now at 10:45, advanced by 45 minutes, with no change to the departure from Rome.

Biman has requested that all passengers traveling on these routes arrive at the airport check-in counters according to the revised departure times.
