Biman Bangladesh Airlines to Acquire 10 Airbus Jets

Dhaka:Biman Bangladesh Airlines is set to formalize an agreement with Airbus on Wednesday for the acquisition of 10 aircraft as part of its ongoing fleet expansion strategy.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the signing ceremony, themed 'Spreading Our Wings Together,' will take place at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden at 6:30 pm. The event will see the presence of several notable figures, including Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir, Executive Chairman of Invest Bangladesh Authority Ashik Chowdhury, and President and Managing Director of Airbus (India and South Asia) Jrgen Westermeier.

This agreement marks a significant step in Biman's strategy to enhance its fleet, following previous agreements with Boeing to acquire 25 aircraft from the US manufacturer.
