Dhaka: The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) launched the new version of its One-Stop Service (OSS) portal on Sunday. The updated version is designed to enhance service delivery, making it easier and more transparent for investors, as highlighted in a press release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BIDA initially launched the online OSS portal (www.bidaquickserv.org) on February 24, 2019, to provide online services to domestic and foreign investors. Currently, the portal offers 134 services from 44 organizations, enabling investors to access all necessary services in one place. This has significantly reduced both time and costs, fostering a more investment-friendly environment in the country.
The new version of the OSS portal includes several key features, such as a Public Service Performance Dashboard that provides comprehensive data on the number of applications processed and their resolution timelines by BIDA and its associated stakeholders. Additionally, it incorporates online monitoring and application tracking, allowing service recipients to track the real-time status of their applications online.
Furthermore, investors can now access information about the services offered through the OSS portal without the need to log in, ensuring greater accessibility and transparency. As per the BIDA One-Stop Service Rules, 2020, applications are required to be processed within a stipulated timeframe. The monitoring dashboard allows higher authorities to oversee this process effectively, ensuring timely service delivery to applicants.
The new portal aims to provide a more transparent, seamless, and efficient service experience for investors and is accessible at https://bidaquickserv.org.
