Dhaka: Ambassador of Bhutan to Bangladesh, Dasho Karma Hamu Dorjee, met Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at the latter’s office in the city’s Bashundhara today. The meeting was conducted in a warm and cordial atmosphere, highlighting the friendly relations between the two parties.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Ambassador was accompanied by Embassy Counselor Jigdral Y. Shering. The discussions focused on various matters of mutual interest between Bangladesh and Bhutan. Both sides expressed a firm commitment to continuing and strengthening bilateral trade, economic cooperation, and overall development between the two countries.
The meeting was also attended by Jamaat Assistant Secretary General Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair and Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan, Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami. These discussions underscore the ongoing collaboration and dialogue aimed at fostering closer ties between Bangladesh and Bhutan.
