The Good Fashion Fund is looking to provide soft financing options to Bangladeshi entrepreneurs who want to invest in green technology.
The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and the Good Fashion Fund recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to support the uptake of innovative sustainability solutions within factories in Bangladesh.
As per the agreement, the Good Fashion Fund (GFF) will provide a long-term loan in addition to technical and environmental and social expertise to the manufacturers to adopt sustainable production.
The BGMEA leaders led by the apex trade body’s President Faruque Hassan held a meeting with Bob Assenberg, fund director of the Good Fashion, and Bernadette Blom, director of the GFF, in Antwerp, Belgium Thursday.
BGMEA Vice-President Miran Ali, Director Abdullah Hil Rakib and Shasha Denims Managing Director Shams Mahmud were also present.
