Sherpur: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized a large quantity of smuggled Indian Dove soap during a drive at the Karnajora border in Sribardi upazila of the district. Acting on a secret tip-off, BGB personnel conducted a raid at the homestead of Rabbani in Boraikuchi village near the Karnajora border. During the operation, they recovered and seized 6,408 pieces of Indian Dove soap packed in 89 cartons, which had been illegally brought into the country. Legal action has been initiated in connection with the seizure.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the operation was carried out based on intelligence that alerted BGB personnel to the smuggling activity. The successful seizure reflects ongoing efforts to curb illegal cross-border trade and protect local markets from the influx of unauthorized goods.
