BGB Seizes Smuggled Goods Worth Tk 1.28 Crore in Sylhet

Sylhet: The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized smuggled goods valued at approximately Taka 1.28 crore from various locations in the district during the early hours of today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, different BGB teams conducted raids in several border areas, including Banglabazar, Lobia, Noakot, Kalairag, Bichanakandi, Panthomai, Protappur, Uthma, Sripur, and Sangram. These operations led to the recovery of the illegal goods, which were found abandoned.



The seized items included sunglasses, sugar, cows, chocolate, hair oil, ibol candy, juice, soap, liquor, fish, and trucks. Sylhet Battalion (48 BGB) Captain Lieutenant Colonel Nazmul Haque confirmed the seizure of these goods.
