Cumilla: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today seized Indian smuggled goods worth about Taka 1.65 crore from the border area of Brahmanpara upazila of the district. BGB Sultanpur Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Md. Ziaur Rahman stated that on a tip-off, a team of BGB conducted a raid in the area and seized various Indian goods including sarees and three-pieces from the location.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the operation did not result in any arrests. The seizure highlights ongoing efforts by BGB to control smuggling activities across the border area.
