Bandarban: Nayek of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Md. Akhter Hossain, who sustained critical injuries in a land mine explosion in Bandarban district, was airlifted today to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka for advanced medical care.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BGB member was injured while patrolling along the Tumbru border in Naikshongchhari Upazila of Bandarban. The incident occurred yesterday, October 12. Following the explosion, he was initially taken to the CMH in Ramu Cantonment, Cox's Bazar for immediate treatment.
A press release from the BGB stated that Md. Akhter Hossain was transported to Dhaka using a BGB helicopter this afternoon to receive better treatment at the capital's military hospital.
