KURIGRAM: The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)-22 Battalion took a step to alleviate the chilling impact of winter on vulnerable residents in Kurigram by distributing essential winter clothing. The initiative was targeted at helping 350 individuals, including those with disabilities, who have been severely affected by the cold weather.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the distribution took place at the Border Guard Public School ground, where the BGB handed out the much-needed clothing. The event was attended by Lt. Col. Muhammad Masudur Rahman, the Commander of Kurigram BGB Battalion 22, along with Assistant Director Md. Yunus Ali and other BGB personnel. This initiative underscores the BGB’s commitment to supporting disadvantaged communities.
Lt. Col. Muhammad Masudur Rahman expressed his intent to continue such welfare activities in the future. He emphasized the BGB’s dedication to standing by helpless and impoverished people, particularly during challenging weather conditions. This distribution of winter clothes is part of a broader effort to ensure that the needs of the most vulnerable are met during the harsh winter months.
