Gazipur:Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel have been deployed at several key points in Gazipur to address ongoing labour unrest related to demands for increased wages and other benefits.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a sufficient number of BGB members are performing duties under the supervision of five executive magistrates from the Gazipur district administration. This deployment is aimed at maintaining law and order amid the unrest.
The BGB deployment will continue until November 7 in various areas including Chandra, Palli Bidyut, Safipur, Konabari, Mouchak, Naojor, and Bhogra Bypass. The measure is intended to help resolve the labour unrest, ensure public security, and maintain normal law and order in the affected areas.
