Dhaka: Four platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel were deployed in the Nilkhet area in the early hours of today to prevent any untoward incidents after a clash broke out between students of Dhaka University and its seven affiliated colleges at the Nilkhet intersection. The deployment aims to ensure peace and order in the area following the unrest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BGB confirmed the deployment in a short message issued at 12:39 am. This measure was taken as a precautionary step to control the situation and maintain a peaceful environment in the educational hub of the city. The authorities are closely monitoring the situation to avoid further conflicts and ensure the safety of the residents and students in the area.
