Khagrachari: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today organized a public awareness meeting with the goal of reducing border-related crimes such as illegal intrusion, smuggling, and drug trafficking, while also fostering law and order and social harmony in the region. The meeting was held at the conference room of Babuchara union parishad in Dighinala upazila of the district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was presided over by Babuchara union parishad chairman Gagan Bikash Chakma, with the assistant director (AD) of BGB-7, Md. Humayun Karim, attending as the chief guest. In his address, AD Humayun Karim emphasized the critical role of public cooperation in maintaining peace and stability along the border.
“We aim to create a safe and aware border area through strong collaboration between local residents and the BGB,” he stated. He further stressed the importance of community vigilance and collective responsibility to deter illegal activities and uphold social unity.
