Satkhira: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested two women from the Kaliani border area under Sadar upazila of the district today. They were apprehended while attempting to trespass the border illegally. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrested individuals have been identified as Nargis Akhter, 25, daughter of Mahatab Uddin from the Rupsar area of Khulna district, and Josna Akhter, 32, daughter of Mujibar Patwari from Chiddipasha village of Abhaynagar upazila of Jashore district. The BGB's battalion commander provided this information. Acting on secret information, BGB conducted a raid at the residence of an individual named Saifullah in Shikari, located near the border area, and successfully detained the two women. During the operation, two mobile phones were recovered from their possession. The arrested women have been handed over to the Sadar thana police for further investigation and legal proceedings.
