BFF Announces Cash Reward of Taka 1.5cr to SAFF Champions.

Dhaka: The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has announced a cash reward of Taka 1.5 crore for the national women's football team following their historic triumph in the seven-nation SAFF Women's Championship held in Kathmandu, Nepal. The decision was made during the first meeting of the newly-elected BFF executive committee, led by its President Tabith Awal, held at the BFF Bhaban. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BFF executive member Amirul Islam Babu confirmed that a decision has been taken to reward the SAFF champion women's football team with a cash prize of Taka 1.5 crore on behalf of BFF. The reward will be distributed through a formal ceremony soon. This reward extends not only to the players but also to everyone associated with the team. The announcement is expected to boost the morale of the women's football team, including skipper Sabina Khatun, who played a crucial role in the team's success. Prior to this, Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan had awarded Taka one cro re to the team. Additionally, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a reward of Taka 20 lakh for Sabina and her team, who made history by winning the prestigious title for the second consecutive time, defeating hosts Nepal by 2-1 in the final. Besides announcing the cash reward, the BFF also finalized the formation of several committees during the meeting.
