Lijiang: BFF Academy U-17 football team suffered a 1-0 defeat to Wuhan U-17 in their last group match of the 2nd Tianyu Liufang Cup held in Lijiang, China, today (Tuesday). Despite the day’s defeat, the BFF Academy team reached the quarterfinals, finishing as group runners-up with six points. Wuhan won all three matches to emerge as group champions.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, earlier on Sunday, the BFF Academy boys showed an impressive display beating hosts Shenyang U-17 by 4-0 in their opening group-stage encounter and thrashed Sri Lanka Academy U-17 by 8-0 in the second match.
