Lijiang: BFF Academy Football team in the U-17 group reached the semi-final of the 2nd Tianwu Liufang Cup, defeating Shanghai Yanggpu District Amateur Sports Center football team by 3-1 in the quarter-final match held in Lijiang, China today, according to a message received here.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in the day’s match, Tahsan emerged as a key player, scoring twice in the 63rd and 76th minutes. Hedayed contributed with an opening goal in the 23rd minute, setting the tone for the team’s victory.
Earlier in the tournament, the BFF Academy team demonstrated strong performances, starting with a 4-0 victory against hosts Shenyang in their opening group-stage match. They continued their dominant form with an 8-0 win over the Sri Lanka Academy Football team in their second match.
Despite their strong start, the team faced a setback with a 1-0 defeat to Wuhan China team in their final group match, concluding the group stage as runners-up.
