London: Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden have been recalled to the England squad by manager Thomas Tuchel ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania. England, having already secured their qualification for next year’s tournament with two matches to spare, will wrap up Group K with a match against Serbia at Wembley next Thursday, followed by a trip to Albania three days later.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Real Madrid midfielder Bellingham returns to the squad after being left out of Tuchel’s selection for games in October, a decision made when the 22-year-old was recovering from shoulder surgery. Manchester City forward Phil Foden also makes his return, marking his first involvement since Tuchel’s initial camp in March.
Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott stands out as a notable inclusion in the 25-man squad, alongside uncapped players Nico O’Reilly and Jarell Quansah. The squad also sees the return of Adam Wharton and Nick Pope, while Morgan Gibbs-White, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Myles Lewis-Skelly, James Trafford, and Ollie Watkins have been omitted.
Tuchel has chosen not to recall midfielder Jack Grealish, who is currently on loan at Everton from Manchester City, and Real Madrid right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. England secured their place at next year’s World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the United States with a decisive 5-0 victory over Latvia in Riga last month.
