Dhaka: A group of new officers from the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) and Bangladesh Judicial Service (BJS) have successfully completed a six-week military orientation training, according to an army statement released today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the training saw the participation of 61 BCS officers, which included 12 from the BCS administration cadre, 17 from the police, three from Ansar, and 29 from the BJS. The aim of this training is to enhance the understanding and cooperation between the military and civil administration during both wartime and peacetime scenarios.
The closing ceremony of the training course was attended by the Army’s Chief of General Staff (CGS) Lieutenant General Mizanur Rahman Shamim. Held at the Army Multipurpose Complex within Dhaka Cantonment, the event featured Rahman as the chief guest, where he distributed certificates to the participants and delivered a closing speech.
The Bangladesh Army has been conducting the “Military Orientation Training” course for BCS and BJS officers since 1984. This structured program is designed to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge about the Bangladesh Armed Forces, thereby fostering a better collaborative environment between the two sectors.
