Dhaka: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially released the itinerary for the much-anticipated three-match T20 International series against the Netherlands. This marks the first-ever bilateral series on Bangladesh soil for the Dutch team, making it a historic event for both cricketing nations.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the visiting Netherlands team is set to arrive in Dhaka on August 26. The series is scheduled to commence with the first match on August 30, followed by the second and third matches on September 1 and 3, respectively. All matches are to be held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, with each game starting at 6:00 PM.
The BCB organized this series as a result of the postponement of a home series against India, which included three ODIs and an equal number of T20 Internationals. The Indian series has been deferred for a year, leaving the month of August open for the Netherlands tour. This series serves as a crucial preparation platform for the Bangladesh team ah
ead of the Asia Cup, which is slated to begin on September 10 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
