Dhaka: The Bangladesh Bank (BB) authorities have urged all to use Tk 1 and 2 metal coins for cash transactions. “Recently, it has been observed that some people in some areas of the country are expressing reluctance to transact with Tk 1 and 2 metal coins, which is a violation of the existing law,” said BB in a statement today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BB stressed that since all conventional metal coins are indeed legal tender, the public should readily use the Tk 1 and 2 coins in their daily financial dealings.
