BB to provide Tk23 crore to Chief Adviser’s Relief Fund

Bangladesh Bank (BB) has announced that it will

provide Taka 23 crore to the Chief Adviser’s Relief and Welfare Fund.

The central bank took the decision at its 436th board meeting held at BB

headquarters in the city on Wednesday, said a BB press release issued today.

This contribution includes a day’s salary from each of the central bank’s

officers and employees.

Additionally, the central bank has decided to donate Taka 5 crore to a

foundation established to support the families of those injured or killed

during the recent “July Revolution”.

These funds will be provided from the bank’s disaster management and

Corporate Social Responsibility fund.
