Dhaka: Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) has struck a partnership deal with NRB Bank to provide special facilities for its members. BASIS and NRB recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to introduce two flagship offers for BASIS members: the exclusive start-up financing product "NRB Shuchona" and specialized corporate credit card services for commercial and enterprise purposes, as stated in a press release today. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the collaboration aims to provide BASIS members with easier access to financial resources, fostering entrepreneurship and supporting the growth of the ICT sector. The agreement removes a significant barrier for start-ups by offering collateral-free loans, thus enabling quick and hassle-free funding to focus on business expansion and innovation. Additionally, the introduction of tailored corporate credit cards is set to simplify business expense management for BASIS members, covering costs such as travel, office supplies, and client engagements. Rashidul Hasan, President of BASIS, emphasized that this collaboration would equip members with unmatched financial tools to manage their businesses more effectively and scale in the fast-evolving ICT industry. Shaheen Howlader, Deputy Managing Director of NRB Bank, expressed excitement about partnering with BASIS to empower start-up founders and tech entrepreneurs by providing dynamic, collateral-free funding opportunities.
