Barishal: Barishal Education Board witnessed 62.57 percent pass rate in this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations. This represents a notable decline from last year’s pass rate of 81.85 percent.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, this year, a total of 1,674 students achieved a GPA-5, with female students performing better than their male counterparts. Specifically, 1,274 female students and 457 male students secured the highest GPA-5.
The Chairman of the Board, Md. Yunus Ali Siddiqui, made the announcement at the Education Board’s hall room around 10 am. He noted that a total of 61,481 students participated in the HSC exams under the board, comprising 28,994 boys and 32,487 girls. This year’s results highlight the continued strong performance of female students in the region.
