Dhaka: The written test for the enrollment of lawyers with the Bangladesh Bar Council is set to take place on June 28. "The written exam will be held between 9am to 1pm on the scheduled date," stated Bar Council Secretary and District Judge Mohammad Kamal Hossain Sikder.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the first phase of the enrollment process, the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) test, was conducted on April 25. Out of all the participants, a total of 13,258 candidates successfully passed the exam. The results have been published on the council's official website for the candidates to check their status.
Per the Bar Council rules, aspiring lawyers must clear three stages-MCQ, written, and oral exams-after earning a law degree to qualify as professional lawyers. This structured process ensures that only those who meet the necessary criteria can practice law in the country.
