The International Cricket Council today announced the list of the match officials for the ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup 2026 to be held in Zimbabwe and Namibia from January 15. Seventeen umpires and four match referees from the Emirates ICC International Panels of Umpires and Referees will officiate at the tournament.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bangladesh's match referee Neeyamur Rahul and umpire Mausudur Rahman Mukul are included in the list to officiate the matches of the tournament. This selection highlights the diversity and international representation at the event, with officials from thirteen different nationalities participating, including two umpires from one of the host nations, Zimbabwe.
Forster Mutizwa, who represented Zimbabwe 21 times across all three formats, will be joined by compatriot Iknow Chabi as two of the 18 umpires. Among the other notable officials are former West Indies international Deighton Butler and Englishman Graham Lloyd, whose father David was an accomplished umpire and later an acclaimed broadcaster.
The four match referees for the tournament are Dean Cosker from England, India's Prakash Bhatt, as well as Graeme La Brooy from Sri Lanka, and Neeyamur Rahul, representing Bangladesh internationally. The tournament promises to bring together experienced officials from various cricketing backgrounds, ensuring a fair and competitive event.
