According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bir Kumar embarked on his expedition titled 'Sea to Himalayas - Expedition for Awareness.' He became the first Bangladeshi cyclist, and the first from an indigenous ethnic community in Bangladesh, to reach the summits of Kongma La, Cho La, and Renjo La passes by bicycle.
In the final stage of his journey, Bir Kumar conquered Renjo La Pass, located at an altitude of 5,360 meters, at 4.26 pm local time in Nepal. Earlier, he had reached Cho La Pass at 5,420 meters on October 1 and Kongma La Pass at 5,535 meters on September 21.
Bir Kumar began his expedition from Zero Point in Cox's Bazar on August 14, facing long distances, rugged mountain trails, and extreme altitudes as he cycled to Nepal's Himalayan region. His journey marked another milestone in his ongoing effort to carry the Bangladesh flag both locally and internationally.
After completing the expedition, Bir Kumar expressed his gratitude through social media, emphasizing that the achievement was shared with everyone who supported him. He highlighted the importance of promoting cycling, environmental awareness, and positive messages.
