Bangladesh-WI ODI Series Unveiled at Lalbagh Kella

Dhaka: The trophy of the three-match ODI series between Bangladesh and West Indies was unveiled at the historic Lalbagh Kella in Dhaka today. The unveiling ceremony took place in front of the iconic Pori Bibir Mazar, located at the 17th-century Mughal fort. Captains of both teams, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Shai Hope, were present to reveal the series trophy.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, this event is part of the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) ongoing Cricket Tourism initiative in collaboration with the Bangladesh Tourism Board. The initiative aims to promote the country’s cultural heritage through cricket.



A BCB press release stated, “The BCB sincerely thanks the Department of Archaeology, Ministry of Cultural Affairs, for their support in making Lalbagh Kella available as the venue for this special occasion.”
