Bangladesh to observe 1-day state mourning for UAE President

Bangladesh will observe one-day state mourning on Saturday to pay homage to the United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan who passed away on Friday, said the Cabinet Division.

The national flag will be hoisted at half-mast at all government, semi-government and autonomous offices, educational institutions, and all government and non-government buildings and at all Bangladesh missions abroad.

Special prayers will be offered at all mosques across the country and places of worship for other religions, seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of Sheikh Khalifa.
