Jakarta: Motivated Bangladesh national men’s hockey team will take on Thailand in their third Pool B match scheduled to be held tomorrow in Jakarta, Indonesia. The match will kick off at 6:00pm Bangladesh time.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bangladesh began the tournament impressively, securing a 5-1 victory over Kyrgyzstan in their opening match and a hard-fought 3-2 win against hosts Indonesia in their second match. These victories have helped them maintain a strong position in the tournament.
The men in red and green have shown consistent excellence in the AHF Cup, having won the title in the last four editions-2008, 2012, 2016, and 2022. Bangladesh is set to play their final group stage match against Sri Lanka on April 23.
The ongoing AHF Cup tournament doubles as a qualifying event for the upcoming Asia Cup, adding extra significance to Bangladesh’s performance.
