Bangladesh Sees Significant Increase in Remittance Inflow in Early October

Dhaka:Bangladesh received US$513 million in workers' remittances during the first five days of October 2026, an increase of 21.4 percent compared to US$422 million received during the same period in 2025.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the inflow on October 5 alone amounted to US$109 million, as reported by Bangladesh Bank.

From July 2026 to October 5, the cumulative remittance inflow reached US$9.104 billion, up from US$8.008 billion in the same period of the previous year, reflecting a 13.7 percent year-on-year growth.
