Dhaka: Bangladesh reported five new Covid-19 cases from nine tests conducted in the last 24 hours till this morning. This update brings the total number of Covid-19 cases in the country to 20,51,747.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed that six individuals have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours. This raises the total number of recoveries to 20,19,376. During this period, no new Covid-19-related deaths were reported, keeping the official death toll at 29,500.
The first Covid-19 case in Bangladesh was detected on March 8, 2020. The country reported its first death from the virus ten days later, on March 18 of the same year.
