Dhaka: Expatriate Bangladeshis sent approximately US$1421 million in remittances during the first 16 days of July in the fiscal year 2025-26. This figure demonstrates a significant financial contribution from overseas Bangladeshis.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, this amount represents a daily average remittance of $88.21 million during the specified period. The latest data released by Bangladesh Bank highlights this influx of funds.
During the same period last year, the remittance inflow to Bangladesh was US$1319 million. The current figures indicate an increase in remittances compared to the previous year, showcasing the ongoing support from the expatriate community.
