Dhaka: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted light to moderate rain or thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, across several regions of the country over the next 24 hours starting from 9 am today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BMD has indicated that most areas within the Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions can expect light to moderate rainfall or thunder showers. Additionally, the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions are likely to experience similar weather conditions. The forecast also highlights the potential for moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall in specific areas within the Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions.
The BMD noted that the monsoon is currently active over Bangladesh and remains strong over the North Bay. Consequently, day and night temperatures across Bangladesh are expected to remain nearly unchanged. Meteorological data from the previous day showed the highest temperature recorded at 35.
0 degrees Celsius in Sayedpur, while Sylhet experienced the lowest temperature today at 24.0 degrees Celsius.
In the capital city, Dhaka, residents can expect the sunset at 6:25 pm today, with the sunrise slated for 5:38 am tomorrow.
