Dhaka: Bangladesh men's handball team will take on South Africa in one of the opening day matches of the 1st Commonwealth Beach Handball Championship, set to kick off tomorrow in the Maldives.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the championship will also see host Maldives facing Sri Lanka, while arch-rivals India and Pakistan will square off in another clash on the same day. The tournament features six participating teams: Bangladesh, South Africa, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, and host Maldives.
The schedule outlines that Bangladesh will play their second and third matches against India and Sri Lanka on September 19. They will conclude the group stage with fixtures against Maldives and Pakistan on September 20.
Bangladesh's team roster includes Salman Khan as captain, alongside players Nahid Ali, Abdur Rouf, Khokon Mollah, Anik Pariwal, Rubel Hossain, KS Wang Marma, and Nafeez Fuad.
