Banani: Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Hossain emphasized the longstanding friendship between Bangladesh and Malaysia, describing it as being built on mutual trust and confidence. He noted that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's recent visit to Malaysia has further bolstered the friendly relations between the two nations.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister made these remarks while serving as the chief guest at the "Towards a Stronger Bangladesh-Malaysia Partnership" event, organized by the Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry at a hotel in Banani. Sakhawat Hossain highlighted the close ties and collaborative efforts between Bangladeshi businessmen and their Malaysian counterparts.
He underscored the importance of enhancing bilateral economic relations and urged the Malaysian government to increase its imports of Bangladeshi products. The minister's call was echoed by Malaysian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Shuhuda Othman, who also emphasized the longstanding friendship between the two countries and noted that the prime minister's recent visit would aid in further strengthening these ties.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Administrator Md Fazlul Haque, who was present to witness the discussions focusing on the enduring and evolving partnership between Bangladesh and Malaysia.
