Bangladesh, India working together to unravel Azim’s killing: Hasan

Foreign minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today said Bangladesh and India are working together on resolving the mystery of murder of Anwarul Azim Anar, MP. "Our mission is in regular contact with Kolkata Police on the whole matter. As it is under investigation, it is not appropriate to say more about it," he told reporters after attending a programme at the Jatiya press club in the capital. Anwarul Azim Anar, a Member of Parliament (MP) from Jhenidah-4 constituency, went missing in Kolkata (West Bengal) last week and later was murdered in a residential flat there. Meanwhile, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said the law enforcement agencies had 'almost identified' the killers of Anwarul Azim. The minister also told newsmen that Police and intelligence agencies of both Bangladesh and India have been working on the murder case. Source: Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha
