Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim has said the relationship between Bangladesh and India has been inscribed with blood.

The relationship of two Banglas (Bangladesh and West Bengal) will not be hindered and it is tested,” he said.

Nasim said this while addressing a roundtable marking Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary and 50 years friendship of India and Bangladesh.

India-Bangladesh Friendship Association arranged the meeting at Bengal Club in Kolkata city of India on Sunday.

He said dynamic leadership of Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina helps the friendship of the two counties reach a new height.

The AL join secretary said Sheikh Hasina visited India to see an India-Bangladesh test match at invitation of Sourav Ganguly at Eden Garden in Kolkata.

“We have no enmity with anyone,” he said, “We want to build friendship with all. We do believe India-Bangladesh relations will boost further in the days to come,” he said.

Bangladesh-India Friendship Association Executive President Shishir Bajoria and Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner in Kalkata Andalib Elias, among others, were present.
