Bangladesh Braces for Rain and Thunder Showers Across Multiple Divisions

Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours, commencing 9 am.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, "Light to moderate rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

The bulletin also anticipates a slight drop in both day and night temperatures across the country. On Sunday, the highest temperature was recorded at 36.3 degrees Celsius in Dimla under Rangpur Division, while today's minimum temperature was noted at 23.9 degrees Celsius in Bandarban.

Residents of the capital can expect the sun to set at 6:48 pm today and rise again at 5:11 am tomorrow.
