Beirut: The newly appointed Bangladesh Ambassador to Lebanon, Major General Muhammad Zubair Salehin, presented his credentials to Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun at the Presidential Palace in Lebanon. The ceremony marked a significant step in the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was attended by Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji, senior officials from the Lebanese President’s Office, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After the formal presentation, a brief meeting took place between the ambassador and the Lebanese president.
During the meeting, Ambassador Salehin conveyed greetings from Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus to President Aoun. In response, the Lebanese President congratulated the ambassador on his new role and assured him of full cooperation in fulfilling his duties. President Aoun also expressed gratitude for the humanitarian aid provided by Bangladesh following the Beirut Port explosion disaster.
President Aoun highlighted his commitment to enhancing the bilateral relations between Lebanon and Bangladesh. The ambassador echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the strong existing ties and the potential for further collaboration. He assured that the Bangladesh government is dedicated to working closely with Lebanon to benefit the people of both nations.
