Dhaka: Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF), Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, returned home today after concluding an eight-day official visit to China. The visit, which took place from November 8 to November 15, was conducted at the invitation of the Commander of the Chinese PLA Air Force, as confirmed by a release from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) this evening.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during his visit, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan participated in the 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, also known as the Zhuhai Airshow. This prominent event included various forums related to aviation and aerospace advancements and showcased the latest in aviation technology and collaborations.
In addition to attending the airshow, the Bangladesh air chief also toured different units and educational institutions of the Chinese PLA Air Force. His itinerary included a visit to the China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corporation (CATIC)
Headquarters, where discussions on potential collaborations and technology exchanges took place.
The air chief’s visit is seen as a significant step towards strengthening bilateral military ties and enhancing cooperation in the field of aviation technology between Bangladesh and China. The ISPR added that Air Chief Marshal Khan departed from Dhaka for his official journey to China on November 8.
