Dhaka: Bangladesh A team is set to visit Australia in August to compete in both T20 and four-day cricket formats. This tour marks a significant opportunity for the Bangladesh High Performance XI, the country's T20 team, as they prepare to participate in the Top End T20 series scheduled to take place from August 14-24 in Darwin. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Top End T20 series will see participation from the Nepal national team, Pakistan Shaheens (Pakistan A), and teams from the Big Bash League. The Bangladesh High Performance team is slated to play a total of six matches in the group phase of the tournament. Following the T20 series, Bangladesh A will engage in a four-day match against the Sheffield Shield Champions, South Australia. This match is notable as it may feature several Test players, given that the Bangladesh national team is scheduled to tour Australia next year for the first time in two decades. Currently, the T20 squad is in Chattogram, focusing on their preparation for the T20 End series. They are set to play three practice matches in Chattogram on August 1, 3, and 5 to gear up for the competition ahead.
