Dhaka: The fire that erupted in the basement of the ten-story Capital Siraj Center on Bailey Road in the capital was successfully brought under control. The blaze, which began around 6:45 pm, was extinguished by 8:38 pm thanks to the efforts of nine fire fighting units.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the fire service media cell reported that a total of 18 people were rescued from the building. The rescued individuals include seven men, nine women, and two children. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far.
The rapid response and coordination by the fire service units were crucial in containing the fire and ensuring the safety of the building’s occupants. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and investigations are ongoing.
