Awareness Meeting on RTI Act Held for Imams in Rajshahi

Rajshahi: An awareness meeting on the Right to Information Act (RTI) was held at the Imam Training Academy this morning to educate Imams about the Act’s rules and regulations. The meeting aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the RTI Act to the Imams, enabling them to better serve their communities.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, over 100 Imams, along with officials and employees of the Imam Training Academy from the Rajshahi region, participated in the meeting. The session was led by Rajshahi PID Deputy Chief Information Officer Md. Touhiduzzaman, who elaborated on the details of the Right to Information Act and its provisions. He also addressed various questions posed by the Imams, emphasizing the importance of the Act in promoting transparency in society.



Md. Touhiduzzaman highlighted that understanding the RTI Act is essential for Imams to effectively communicate its significance to their communities. This understanding would enable them to play a pivotal role in ensuring transparency and accountability within society. The meeting was also attended by Imam Training Academy Deputy Director Dr. Md. Asem Ali, Rajshahi PID Senior Information Officer Md. Atiqur Rahman Shah, and other officials, who contributed to the discussions.
