Automation Is Crucial For Achieving Accreditation: KU VC

Khulna: Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Khulna University (KU) Professor Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim today emphasized the importance of automating university activities to achieve accreditation, which he highlighted as essential for improving the quality of education. He noted that there is no substitute for maximizing the use of information technology to advance education and research. Automation in academic and administrative activities, he added, would increase efficiency, transparency, and bring positive changes to the overall management of the university.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the VC made these remarks during a discussion meeting at the conference room of the administrative building, where he served as the chief guest. During the meeting, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Harunur Rashid Khan addressed attendees as a special guest, emphasizing the need to increase reliance on technology in all aspects of university operations. He urged collective effort and sincere dedication to ensure the success of the automation initiative.



Professor Dr Sheikh Alamgir Hossain, the Director of the ICT Cell, elaborated on a potential automation plan through a PowerPoint presentation. Additionally, Mithun Modak, Director (Technical) of Interlink Tech Soft Limited, shared a concept regarding automation. The meeting was attended by deans of various schools, discipline heads, provosts, directors, and relevant teachers and officers, who discussed possibilities, challenges, and necessary actions for implementing the automation initiative.
