Gulshan: A man was killed in a road accident in front of Azad Mosque at Gulshan in the capital early today. The deceased was identified as Delwar Hossain, a 45-year-old auto-rickshaw driver, son of Tara Mia, and a resident of Karail Slum area. He hailed from Andha Village under Purbo Dhola Police Station in Netrokona district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Delwar sustained critical head injuries when a speeding motorcycle hit his auto-rickshaw in front of Azad Mosque early today. Police and hospital sources confirmed that he was declared dead by the doctors on duty around 3 am soon after he was rushed to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
